Rocker Trim - plastic strip orientation

I caught up with a post from a while back about the need to glue these on - the need for glue was a giveaway on mine due to the truck load of residue from the previous strips.

Before I glue I’m just checking the correct laying of the strip in the channel (mine were loose so I had no comparison).

I am assuming the fore and aft strips are designed as just a nice finishing seal to those sections of rockers,  whereas the long,  centre section of the rocker trim has the very different strip that has a “lip” that runs up the rocker panel itself (a few millimetres)  when the trim is in place.

A couple of pics from my assumption/s - at the front end of the passenger (U.S.) side.

Thanks as always.
