Turn indicator?

Truth be told, neither are original to your '68, presuming it's a US spec car.

68s and 69s came with a flat lens (not the bulge type used on later US--but not Euro--cars) and two bulbs:  a small one for parking lights and a larger one for the turn signals.

Later cars with the bulge style turn signals use a single bulb (an 1157) with two filaments--the dimmer one for parking lights, the brighter one for turn signals.  That's what you've pictured, minus the lens and frame (they're a one piece part, so someone has separated lens from bulb housing.  Either will work on your car (with the lens & frame, of course).  The one with the black plastic bulb housing that incorporates the reflector is from a later car (probably a squarelight) while the one with the metal bulb housing and separate metal reflector is probably from a 70-73 roundie.

Thanks Mike

When i got this car there were no Brackets or Lenses and the ones pictured came off of a 73. You 68 knowledge is very much appreciated. That also explains the 2 wires coming to the blinker. I will keep an eye out for some 68 parts, fingers crossed.

What generally turns up in the flat lens front turn signal department--used, as they've been NLA for many years--are Euro assemblies, which AFAIK are still available from European suppliers like W & N.  The problem with them is there's no provision for a parking light--no second socket, and the socket for the turn signal bulb is for a single filament bulb (an 1156).

However, there are a number of discussions on the FAQ about adapting Euro front turn signals for use on US cars, either by swapping out the bulb holder for one that takes a two filament bulb, or adding a second, small socket for the parking light bulb as the factory did in '68 and '69.

And if you're not going for authenticity, by all means get a pair of bulge style assemblies (as used on the 70-76 US cars).  It'll connect with your two existing wires and provide both parking and turn signal lights with no modification.
