Ballast resistor for Tii

I need a proper ballast resistor for my Tie.  Im running a red coil without the resistor and would like to return to stock.

Search for the 1.8 ohm Bosch ballast resistor meant for a Mercedes.  I bought one a few years ago.

AutohausAZ had them, I would call or e-mail because you won’t find it in a search.  And 1.8 ohm is correct.

Guys.  I took a better look at my cool wiring and realized I have a resistance wire rather than a separate resister so there’s only 2 connections to the coil.  Based on this is the red coil correct for this setup?

Guess we should have noticed your square light pic, always helps to mention the year.  There are only two wires anyway.  The coil’s label should say what resistance is needed, red should need 1.8.  The silver coil with red label and red coil with silver label are the same.  The resistance wire can always be removed, it’s the size of an aspirin in the wiring inside the blue sheath.

I guess I’m confused.  I’ll have to look to see if the connections are on the wiring diagram.  There are no pigtails or cut wires.  Only connections are the ones shown in the pics.

By the way the car is a 74 Tii
