Making Custom Recaro Mounting Brackets- How common are 6 hole Recaros?

Hi all.

Being sticker-shocked by both Recaro reproduction brackets, and Massive's low-profile solution, I've decided to machine my own here at work.

If they come out as nice as I hope they can, I might batch-produce a bunch and sell them.

My Recaro's are the 4 bolt version, but I notice that there's provisions to the Massive brackets for 6 bolt..

How common are the 6's? Or, how un-common are the 4's?

Here's my quick CAD up from lunch. post-47516-0-12708300-1446732581_thumb.j

Welp, since I've gotten no feedback on 6 bolt Recaros, I'm forging ahead and making my custom 4 bolt versions. This past weekend I quickly fabbed up some test brackets to check placement and fit.

They were done from 5mm aluminum, which is more than a bit sketchy in my opinion. So they were only done for fitment. As you see below, I'm going to cut the actual parts from 10mm plate.

Here's the first test fit in the car. Butter. :)

And today, I revisited the CAD model and did some part optimization, and did some quick graphics. Pretty stoked. I won't be able to cut these on the mill for a while, but I think they're pretty close to what I'm looking for.

If you're gunna do something, do it right!

Very nice, I like the attention to detail.

The one thing my Dad did teach me was if you are going to do something do it right.
