Hi guys,

I am new here so I should introduce myself. I'm a 19 year old college student, about to be a sophomore. I'm looking to buy my first car, and I am very keen on the 2002. I love the styling, and I feel that its a car that I could really learn to work on. Additionally, I plan on learning stick in this car.

So, after much searching in my area, I have realised that there is a far better selection of cars available in areas but not limited to, the west coast, Oregon, California etc. Hence, I am looking for someone experience with these cars, who lives in one of these areas, who could go look at the car for me, purchase it, and ship it back to me. Obviously, the car would be paid for in advance by me, and the person who helps me out would be paid well for this service. My budget is roughly $6000, with a little room. No real preference with the car, any year ( i just put 1976 in because I had to put in a year), most colours etc, but I would like it to be stick.

If there's anyone out there who could help me, please get back to me. I look forward to hearing back and learning from you guys. I can't wait to be an active member of this forum as opposed to a lurker.

I have a '74 polaris(silver)/blue 2002 for sale. nice interior, sunroof, manual trans, rebuilt engine, service records back into the 90s. This car runs great but the paint is faded, and needs a patch under the rear seat, I will have that repaired correctly by an awesome body guy. It's a blue plate California original that doesn't get driven much after I bought a '73 Tii.  $5500 Located near Berkeley Ca. I've sold cars like this to guys in the rust belt before and they can't believe how nice the bodies are from out here. You can have an impartial opinion from someone here on the bayarea02 forum come over and describe it's condition to you.
