Yes, that's the baffle for the pan.  The M3 pickup won't fit in the 2002 pan.  So as Marshall suggests, either get an M10 pickup for your M3 pump, or get an M10 pump.

I might have an extra pump if you need to buy the whole thing.

Thank you for the info and price, ill ask how much it is for the pan modification ill go for the cheaper option
