tires and wheels Are Bbs E30 On A Road Car A Good Idea?

Just wondering if anyone has a set of BBS E30 motorsport wheels on an 02.

 

 I've been looking at photo's of them on MK1 golfs and think they look awesome.

 

And I don't mean wheels form a BMW e30, I mean the below.

if you're referring to the fact that BBS state "not for road use", you're a sucker haha. same as "do not remove this tag" on a mattress.

Man, I would gladly trade parts pertaining to my manhood for a set of E30s. I think it is the sexiest period wheel for an 02!

I know of a guy with a mk1 running these on his daily without any issues. But he is very mindful of them. I suspect that they are not impervious to damage but should hold up awell if you take care.

I've found a set of centres online, and was thinking this could be long term thing. Just need to find and economic (yeah right) source for the rest of the stuff.

whitehorse industries in melbourne will make custom barrels and lips. sounds like you have the right idea then.

Yeah, I found them and downloaded their pro-forma. Look like they do quality work, and are a little more local.

 

Will have to think about it long and hard. I still want to swap in the e21 rear trailing arm and full coilover setup, so this could be down the list.
