cylinder head for sale (updated: new pics)

Dear Forum,

I just bought a '74 BMW 2002, and it came with an extra cylinder head in the trunk. For photos, see the links below. The part is located in Columbia, South Carolina.

I have never done any serious work on cars and I suspect I will never use this part, so I emailed the previous owner to ask what he thinks I should do with it. He said, "it would probably be worth at least $100 to someone who wants to upgrade."

I'll probably post this on Craig's List, but I thought I'd post it to the forum first.

Unfortunately, I have no information about this part, and I am pretty clueless when it comes to thus stuff, but if you have specific questions, please post a comment, and I will try to get the answer by emailing the previous owner.

I think you need to add another photograph. You should post whether this is a 121, 121ti, E21, E12 head. It makes a difference. The stamp will be on the intake side of the head. It will help you sell it.

the type of head stamp will be between and just above 3rd and 4th intake and date of manufacture below type. even the month if you count clockwise stars in circle.

Nope, it's not a tii. Just a basic 2002, manual. Don't know how many miles on it, but seems to run well... so far.
