68 2002 half shaft being a pain in my ass!!!!!!!!!!!

So i recently had broken my rear half shaft on my 68 2002 i purchased a new new(used) one from a member on here with no boot. My old boot is perfectly fine so i wanted to have it switched ive tried every bmw dealership/drive line/axle shop no where can do it. I know im not the only one who has ever encountered this what the fuck do it do!!!!!!!!!!!!

Undo the clamp holding your old boot on. Remove the circlip holding the CV on the splined axle shaft, remove the CV, remove the old boot. Remove the circlip on the newly purchased axle, remove the CV, slide the old boot on, put CV back on, install circlip, grease CV, clamp boot, install grease shield - done! - http://www.my2002tii.com/july2003-2.htm

its a yellow boot does it need to be a clear boot? Also the first link you post the axle is totally different looking and the second link doesnt have any kind of info...

oK, so it seems like you have the boots with the gear oil in them instead of the ball bearing CV boot type.

Start by draining the oil via the bolt on the axle, remove the clamps on either end of the boot.

I was able to have access to a Harbor Freight press, and pressed the pin to oneside and muscled on, you can muscle it off the same way. If you dont have a press, you can use a spoon, and a vice to work it off.

Pressing out the pin also works and makes things very easy.

thank you very much that helped a lot does anyone have a part number for the clear boot kit. and does it come with both of the boots shown in the write up

Boots are sold individually buy the dealer, around $25 each I think.
