The same thing happened to my Koni's and I couldn't figure it out.I kept hearing a banging noise every time I hit a bump and thought it was the exhaust system making the noise.New Bilsteins solved that problem.

Tip for the future, slather a bunch of grease around the lower 3" of the strut before putting it in the strut tube. It'll keep it from sticking together with corrosion.

Thanks. I like the improvement but my front sway is visibly lower.

My concern is road clearance.
