Hey all,

Just picked up a set of Acura RSX seats off craigslist for 50 bucks! The seats have been modified to fit a newer integra/civic. They will basically bolt right up, but they sit pretty high (the seat back is probably 5" from the roof).

Going to try and fix that tonight, shouldn't be hard with some scrap and a welder!

Let me know what you think, these things are probably the most supportive seats I've sat in.

Good score! Getting any seat low enough in an 02 is the trick.

It seems to be a common problem! I'm thinking the rails on the seat will fit between the mounting brackets in the car. So the seat can drop down and I can make some basic L brackets to bolt them in.

If not, I'm only 5'7" and I will deal with it till I make something work!

Here is what I did to get my Sparcos low and inboard enough. Pay no attention that the right rail is not straight for the picture. One rear bracket wasn't quite right. I got the next one right.

That looks incredible. Didn't even think about by-passing the stock mounts and fabbing something like that!

Is that aluminum? Can't really tell in the pictures.

Steel. 1/2 and 1/4 (maybe 1/2 and 1") angle. At first I went for the floor but the floor was not stif enough on it's own. So thus the wings up to the stock mounts. So in the end it is very strong and since I don't have a back seat there is no one back there trying to put their feet under the seat.

Has anyone ever figured out a way to mount E30 Sport Seats in an '02? I see them for sale all the time in excellent condition, for much cheaper than the E21 Recaros.

They bolt in as well, just sit about an inch higher than e21 recaros.

Well here they are. Very easy to get in, but they sit way too high.

The only way to get them lower would be to cut out the stock mounts, which I don't think I want to do. It's a shame cause they are comfy and nice!
