NEED HELP Oil pump plse see pic can it work on a 1968 Nk ?

I Just got this oil pump for my NK 1968 from racetep and it doesnt seem to fit look pic 1 is the new pump vs pic 2 the old

Looks like a 320i oil pump not an NK/02 one.

BUT, if the pick up portion of the pld one is in good shape, I.E. not worn where the impellers wear... then you might be able to swap the old pick up portion onto the new pump.

If you don't feel like swapping the pick up then I'd return it.

Thank your for your reply, I have finally checked whether i can switch the pick up tube and finally the answer is no, my old pump have a smaller body with 4 bolts, where the pick up tube is so cant fit it on the new style pump that has a bigger body with about 6 bolts.

I will return it to top end just hope that they will exchange it as i already emailed them about it the day i received it.

otherwise i'll have to look for the more recent longer pick up tube if anyone has one?
