so, here's the deal. I live up here in British Columbia, and must get this '75 2002a through AirCare. have been successful last year...this year things are different. Great compression, just runs rich. all new ignition components, runs great actually. Did my best adjusting the 32/36. then failed again. Gave in and took it to my default German car repair guy, and he tried and said just running too rich. So still no pass. Question, does anyone know if I can replace the jet in a 32/36 weber to run more lean? Or any other ideas. great car, just need to pass this emission test. Thanks for any input. Mike

Step 1- buy Haynes carb manual for Weber.

Step 2- replace float valve.

Step 3- set float level at 39mm (closed, measured from float bottom

to bottom of cover)

Step 4- check fuel pressure.

If your regulatory AQI has changed from last year, a leaner set of jets will help. But suggest swapping back as soon as you're certified.

If not, make sure that all your new ignition components are dialed-in correctly. Be sure you have at least 12° advance at idle speed.

Cheers!
