WTB: Wheels (and tires?)

I am looking for an inexpensive set of wheels and tires for a 1974 2002. I am located in Irvine CA... so you should also be local (I am not interested in paying for shipping unless the wheels are cheap enough for it to make sense).

Let me give you some guidelines:

* Sizes: 13 or 14-inch (nothing bigger than 14-inch)

* Must be proper BMW E30 or 2002 fit (no VW wheels, for example, or any other FWD offset which requires spacers).

* Stock wheels only considered if there are tires with 75% or more tread and date codes 2-years old or newer.

* No 320i wheels

* Alloy wheels must come money-back guaranteed as straight and undamaged. I don't want to try mounting tires on them and find out they won't work.

Ideal selections:

* E30 steel wheels (E30 318i wheels)

* period correct, 13-inch alloy wheels for the 2002 (must come with all center caps), and

* I am not a huge fan of factory E30 alloys... but, for the right price, I will consider a set of these.

Please email me at roundel at hotmail.com

Thank you for offering up the EXIM wheels. Unfortunately, $450 is too far outside of my price range. And, I am in Irvine (southern California) -- Mountain View is 450 miles away... do you come down to southern California often?

And, orange centers? That's... hhmmm... interesting! :-P The car I am putting the wheels on is a Chamonix (white) 1974 2002 with a blue interior. I would definitely have to paint them. 8^)

I am getting some interesting offers folks. Please keep them coming. I am still hoping someone with the elusive E30 steel wheels still speaks up.

And, I have to admit I am pleased to be back amongst '02 enthusiasts. My time away didn't last long.

    BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

    Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

    History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

    In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

    BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
