Elf? Actually, Elf petroleum was one of Jackie Stewart's sponsors. The car is a Tyrell. I'm guessing it's #001. 002 or 003.

I had the privilege of seeing Stewart race it at Watkins Glen and Mosport, back when it was new (come to think of it, I was pretty new, too ).

Speaking of new, I've got some pics of my 4 month old, '71 '02, along with a couple of friends' '02s, at Watkins Glen, in October of '71, for the USGP.

That was a great era to "come of age" in!
