  1. Thanks, Andy - pics would be amazing! Also, do you still have the template/file for the Colorado decal you had made up?
  2. Hello Friends - When my Colorado 1970 BMW Ti was repainted, the engine bay decals were lost. Pics are attached of my bay. Which ones am I missing? Looks like all of them? Additionally, I understand early or euro cars may have had different placements for these? (Can anyone confirm?) Apologies if this is redundant, I searched other threads and could not find a source. If anyone has photos they can share I'd be grateful! Thanks! Michael
  3. Now that esty helped me find them, I'd love to get some input on placement. Thank you!
  4. Hello Friends - When my Colorado 1970 BMW Ti was repainted, the engine bay decals were lost. Is there a source that either repros these or are they still available OEM? I have heard about a certain "Frank in NL" who has these, but have not been able to find him. Pics are attached of my bay. Which ones am I missing? Looks like all of them? Additionally, I understand early or euro cars may have had different placements for these? (Can anyone confirm?) Apologies if this is redundant, I searched other threads and could not find a source. Thanks! Michael
  5. Thanks so much for the guidance, Gents, this forum is just incredible! I just ordered the part you recommend from England; amazing you have the bullseye same horn button, too. Are these fairly rare? Will keep everyone posted once it's in!
  6. Hello Friends - I am searching for the "horn contact brush" for my early Momo Alpina wheel. Were these specific to each wheel type, or were they interchangeable? Any info on where to find one, or rig one up, would be much appreciated. I include pics of the button and wheel. (You never realize how important having a working horn is until you don't have one!) Many Thanks
  7. Thank you Steve - your ears must have been ringing! Coupe needs a good tune, don't want her to get jealous of the Ti.
  8. Can you please share who the new member friend is so they can be vetted for banning by the admins?
  9. Glad to be wrong, sir! Try posting your topic in the general 2002 forums for better engagement, This is a Ti specific forum.
  10. Getting some scammer energy from you. Will await your next post!
  11. The admins banned him/them. Doesn't mean they won't pop back up under a new handle, so remain vigilant....
  12. That's great news - thank you! No, no further communication with @66gill since the scam attempt.
  13. Admins: Is there no way to ban @rayden, @66gill and other established scammers from this forum?
  14. Thanks, @Jam - looks great! May I ask what method you used to strip it?
  15. Hi Ti Friends. Rookie question here, and my apologies but I have not been able to find definitive info on this in my searching. Valve covers on Ti's, I imagine were all unfinished from the factory as all M10s were, correct? I only ask because i have seen photos of a few Ti's that are powder coated black, as that in my car is. Just wondering if there is some off chance this was a Ti thing, but my gut says no, in which case i would like to remove the finish. Maybe the black was an Alpina inspired mod for some folks? Thank you!
  16. If you ever come across another ti brochure please let me know!
  17. Curious if anyone has experience with the CN36 on a 13x6 inch rim? (Mine are Alpina, pictured below) Would love to replace these toyos with the Pirellis!
  18. Hi All - Just checking back in to alert the community that I received yet another scam attempt from the same want ad I placed. Same exact thing as last time. Got a PM from a forum "member" @66gill advising me to contact a third party who has the part: This time, i was sober lol, and caught it immediately. Nonetheless, I played along a bit for fun, and here it is for your entertainment. I omit the last few correspondences where I get nasty for the sake of decorum. Starts a bottom of thread. (I use the Philly Sherriff's address as my own for good effect, and also bust them with the 2018 link they grabbed the verbiage from. Bizarrely, they also use an obscure australian singer/songwriter as their nom de plume.) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Tash Holmes [mailto:autosgear75@gmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 5, 2021 7:01 PM To: Michael Arenella <michael@dreamlandorchestra.com> Subject: Re: 3.64 LSD differential Got the mailing address I’ll ship out tomorrow and send you the necessary tracking as soon as possible Kindly let me know when you make the payment. These are the best and so much better than the standard 2002 spool. Did you do the rebuild? Oh, and do you have a couple photos of it? So excited! From: Tash Holmes [mailto:autosgear75@gmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 5, 2021 6:07 PM To: Michael Arenella <michael@dreamlandorchestra.com> Subject: Re: 3.64 LSD differential Thanks for getting back Mr Michael, This was custom built, converting the open differential to a limited slip using the clutch assembly spool from a 1993-95 E36 318i.This spool is highly regarded as being superior to the E21 spool. The post-assembly measured break-away or preload torque near 30 fl-lbs, which is about 10% greater preload than a standard E21 LSD. The differential was partially disassembled and cleaned. The clutches were removed, cleaned and media blasted to restore the original friction surface prior to reassembly. The diff case was modified slightly to allow for installation of the limited slip spool, and then the diff was reassembled and set up with the correct backlash and proper gear contact. The stock E21 rear cover was installed,so you will need to install your stock 2002 rear cover. Also included are double drilled axle flanges, spacers, and longer 12.9 grade bolts, making this LSD ready for installation in your 2002. All you need to do is seal your rear cover using some RTV or gasket seal compound, add oil, and install it.Fits any E21 or 2002 that does not have a long neck diff. Best of the season, T Holmes. 19. Yes, it has scam written all over it and i am a dummy who had a moment of alcohol induced, bad judgement. Thanks for the Caveat Emptor and all that stuff. I posted this to let people know this site isn't safe from scammers, but of course you knew that already.
  20. Yeah, it's an e 38 in the picture. should have looked closer at the diff.
