  1. Thank you for the response. I'm already plated collector and good for five years, but your thought is well taken. I appreciate the recommendations too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Hi 2002FAQers, I'm relatively new to the 2002 scene and bought my first one last year. It's a 1975 out of CA, complete with lots of emissions stuff I'd prefer not to have. Is there anyone in the Denver area (I'm in Thornton specifically) that would be interested in helping me de-smog the car? I've read through some of the threads on this but nothing is super comprehensive and I worry I'll end up taking a perfectly good running car and turning it into a lawn ornament. I'd really like to learn to work on the car more myself and helping with the process would be great. If you're interested in helping out, please let me know! Hope to see some of you guys around!
  3. Talked to the guy and it ended up selling in 3 days. Seems crazy to me but it's the world we live in. [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks for the info, it's definitely on my list. I just got mine a few months ago and other than the Weber carb, the motor is 100% stock. Once it warms up here I hope to desmog and do the bumper tuck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Very nice car. I have a similar, albeit not as nice, version. Can you comment on how much better the car ran after the desmog? Just curious, I've been thinking about doing that but wasn't sure if it would make a noticeable difference.
  6. Not mine, just saw it on Craigslist and thought it might be of interest (no connection to seller). I've always wanted one of these but this is definitely too big of a project for me. I thought someone might be interested since these don't seem to come up very often. http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/5973213027.html
  7. Bumper tuck + those wheels = looking sharp! I'd like to do the same.
  8. Bumping an old thread... does anyone else have pictures of the Race Tep bracket conversion? Does it really bring the bumper in closer then draining the shock? Anyone have some of these brackets for sale?
  9. Ended at $10,100. Seemed to be about in the expected range? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. $$$??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Cool car! Very interested to see where it ends up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Some of the pictures are busted would love to see them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Very cool find and nice work thus far, congrats!
  14. Fixed the fuel line this morning as recommended, works great now, no leaks! Another question - Where should the idle be set? The car was shipped from California to Colorado so should I get it rejetted? Seems to idle really low until it gets warmed up and then averages out around 800 rpm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks Mark, very helpful starting place!
  16. Thank you, will do. Any threads you can point me to about removing the smog equipment. Mine is a 1975, originally from California, but now in Colorado. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks Mike. Should I replace it with the OEM type product or something different? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Thank you so much, I will do just that!
  19. Hello all, new owner here who needs a bit of help. I'm not very technically minded but am trying to change that. I've noticed a decent fuel drip from the line in the attached picture. I've gather this is the line going from the carb to the fuel pump (correct me if I'm wrong about what that is). The hose looks worn and old, so I'd like to replace it. Any problem with just taking it off, buying a new one and installing it? Can I replace it with a rubber hose rather than the braided wire type it has now? Any concerns about pressure or messing up the carb or is it just plug and play? Sorry for such a basic question but the car runs at the moment and I'd like to keep it that way!
