  1. Hi, I have been trying the links to the tii register for a wiring diagram for my 1972 euro 02 bit all of the links seem broken. Is there another source possibly? I want to rewire my racecar and use an Aim pdm module. Thanks Karl
  2. Does anybody have some US headlamp buckets that fit the h4 lamps. I am trying to convert my front lights but I have the euro buckets where the lamp is not connected to the light.... I live in New Zealand. Many thanks karl
  3. Hi, I am after a bellhousing from a G245 box to suit the M10 pattern... Anything out there?
  4. Thanks but for me to import the volvo calipers is more expensive than buying the wilwood calipers locally and I already have purchased the vented E21 discs and hubs... Thanks
  5. Hi, I know this has obviously been discussed before but I can't seem to find what I am looking for. I am trying to piece together an affordable front brake upgrade for my 02 here in New Zealand. I have purchased here locally some small bearing front E21 hubs and the 21mm E21 vented discs to fit to my non tii struts. Since postage here for available big brake kits from the USA is very expensive I want to make use of cheap wilwood dynalite calipers available locally. Has anybody mated these together and have a adapter bracket that would suit? I am keen to get a Cad file that somebody already has or model one up myself to share with the community to help people out in a similar situation to me.... I will be converting my dual line setup to single line at the same time as increasing the bore of the rear drum pistons... Any ideas?
  6. Thanks everyone for your help. After molestig my other 02 for an S14 conversion and extensive mods I promised myself I would keep this as origional as possible other than a few reversable suspension mods so I don't want to cut and shut anything. I did t want to use an IE bar as they hang very low and dont really want it to be visible. So since I dont want to clearance the new nose I think I will have to make a new bar myself from 4130... I will post pics once done... Thanks for all of your advice
  7. Turning around makes it just OK at ride height but if both wheels compress it would clash.... Definately not that keen on lowering the subframe as that will put the lower arms in not a fovourable position... I guess I could get somebody to heat the bar up and bend it then re heat treat it but if I am going to that hassle I might as well make one from scratch without the excessive joggle...
  8. Hi there, I am rebuilding a bmw 2002 72 here in NZ to origional spec apart from a few handling upgrades. I had to fit a replacement nose from w&n and it seemed like a good fit until it came to fitting the front subframe back in. The tow hooks interfered with the nose panel so I removed a small section of the tow hook and welded it back in place but now my new ST sway bar from IE won't fit because there is a large joggle in the sway bar compared to the origional that now interferes with the inside of the new nose panel... Why ST decided to put such a large joggle is making my head scratch as there doesn't appear that there is anything to avoid in this area. Has anyone else had this issue? It doesn't look like there has ever been any impact in this area nor are there any obvious signs of chassis rail work... Help please
  9. you should check out elan motorsports build on facebook in new zealand for a crazy E21 build
  10. Hi, Has anybody looked into adapting the toyota 4 age blacktop itbs to mate to the E30 1.8 head? The bore pitch (spacing) is only 0.5mm out? Obviously it comes down to the position of the manifold bolts and those that secure the itbs to the manifold. These itbs are pretty cheap... My head here has the injector bosses on the intake manifold. I will model it up but I am after a cad file for the intake of this head then I will find the pattern for bolting the 4age itbs to it. Can anybody help me with a cad file? Many Thanks Karl
  11. This is the basis of the new front end with custom crossmember dropped low to allow engine to sit low enough (dry sumppped only) with 265 getrag box to not need tunnel modification. A cross brace will be added to link the adjustable caster rod ends with the inboard pick up point of the front control arms.
  12. Here is a pic of the new strut tops I got laser cut... As i am running 17" wheels to get a decent stroke and to get a bit more caster this is what I came up with... I am running SLR lower arms which are 40mm longer with E30M3 front struts and custom roll center spacers so camber as you see it will be adjustable between 1 and 4 deg -'ve
  13. Thank you. They do indeed look like quality pieces.
  14. Hi, I am trying to get hold of some replica heidegger flared guards for my M2002 project. I understand that korman make some that are similiar but I have a friend that has these and he said that they require quite substantial effort to make them fit nicely and he does not recommend that I get the same ones. Does anybody know of anybody else that makes good replicas including the front air dam? I dont care where in the world they are manufactured. Similiar to these: http://thumbsnap.com/sc/qlSUgcbG.jpg Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks Karl
  15. Thought I better share some progress pics... I am doing yet another S14 conversion with a few differences... E30 rear subframe, widebody e46 front arms, custom front crossmember. Stroked 2.7l S14, 12.5:1 searching for an easy 290hp with lots of torque... Here are some pics of the rear end conversion to start with...
  16. Project BMW 2002 Components so far: BMW s14 engine (will be modified later circa 270hp) moved back 70mm and down 40mm.. BMW E30 M3 front struts and complete rear end E46 front arms E36 front crossmember (modified) Getrag 265 CR box Modified steel body ford sierra rack Engine tilted back to around 18 deg from 30 deg Custom bellhousing Dry sump Unmodified transmission tunnel etc etc I thought it was about time to share some of my solutions that I have come up with along the way throughout the build so far. I live in New Zealand and are undertaking all of the work myself (so far anyway). When I work out how to I will post some pics (I have plenty already) of the build so far
  17. Hello, I have been searching the forum for quite some time but cant find any info on how a E30 M3 radiator can be made to fit my 2002 with my S14 engine. I have one here but without completely chopping away the crossmember that spans the 2 front chassis legs I cant seem to be able to fit it under the bonnet profile. Should I be using a different radiator? I plan on about 280hp so dont really want to run 320i rad or similiar.... Any help would be great or link to a part of the forum I have not discovered in my searches Cheers Karl
