  1. It was just the bracket that connects to the subframe. I talked to Jeremy at Ireland this morning and he said it could be that the front of the bracket was not trimmed enough. He is sending me a new one to see if the problem is with the bracket or my front subframe.
  2. Has anyone else had trouble with the IE front sway? I got one for my birthday, and one of the mounting brackets did not quite line up, so I had to grind a little off of the front. I did not know if anyone else had this problem or if it was just me.
  3. Hey Mark, Would you mind emailing me with more information? mtmorto at clemson.edu Thanks Mitchell
  4. So I posted that I was looking for a set of IE stage 2 springs, and Ben at La Jolla emailed me about the springs that they had manufactured to their specs, and I was just wondering if anyone had bought a set of these and could give me a brief review. Thanks.
  5. Just thought I would let you guys know that I ended up ordering an adjustable front sway bar from IE. Thanks for all the great ideas!
  6. I would like to buy a full set of very low mileage IE stage 2 springs. Email me at mtmorto @ clemson dot edu. Thanks. EDIT: Found a set.
  7. Thanks for the help guys. I'm going to use BMW0299s pics.
  8. I am a Graphic Communications majour at Clemson and I need your help. I have to do a colour separations project, and I would like to do it of a picture of 2002s. I need a high res shot of some 2002s in as many colours as possible. You can either post here or email me with the email button. Thanks for any help. Mitchell
  9. Please email me. I would be interested in a set of ATS Cups. Thanks.
  10. Nice car Patrick! Welcome to the FAQ! I was looking through your Flickr stream and was just wondering what wheels are on the green car.
  11. If it is the later notched style shift lever, I would suggest a ZHP knob. Not period correct at all but I can easily say that it is the most comfortable and best feeling shift knob I have ever driven with.
  12. So I am changing the water pump in my tii, and I am using a water pump that is new in the box that came with the car. In the box, there are two gaskets: one is a felt-like material, and the other is kind of like paper. My question is which one do I use? TIA.
  13. Yeah I was thinking about a new wheel. I just got a ZHP shift knob for Christmas and I love it. I was thinking of a Momo retro or prototipo wheel.
  14. No I don't have an ice sculpture haha. A model would be really cool actually. I would love to find a Fjord roundie.
  15. I already have those sitting in my room waiting to be installed. Just haven't had time.
  16. So my birthday is coming up, and I need ideas of what to ask for. I have a '72 tii. The budget is about 150 bucks, so I can't get anything too fancy. I was thinking maybe urethane bushings for the front and rear suspension from IE, but I thought I would ask you guys here for any other ideas.
  17. If it is the inlet screen for the pump, I think it is NLA. I was looking for the same one a few months back. I don't have one. I was told that it wasn't necessary. The thread is here: http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,57/page,viewtopic/t,360369/highlight,inlet+screen/ Hope this helps a little!
  18. Our beloved '02 comes in at number 3. http://jalopnik.com/5835556/ten-classic-cars-for-under-5000/gallery/9
  19. I really like the downturn look if it's done right. I like BLUNT's a lot. Do you guys have any more pics of downturned tips?
  20. I know this is a turbo M42, but is there a way I could get a sound similar to this with my tii?
  21. I have a '72 tii with the IE stainless exhaust system from the headers back. It's pretty loud already, but I would like it to be louder. I don't want raspy, I just want a loud, growling exhaust. What is the best way to go to achieve this? I was thinking straight pipes. Does anyone have any sound clips of their loud exhaust?
  22. It's not stuck in rust, I just can't get to it easily because it is slightly recessed into the block.
