So you're sayin I should cancel my room at Holiday Inn Express?
That of course depends who's keeping you company there.

Shopped for used and found some deals but either they were gone by the time I got there or I just could not bring myself to buy used so I bought this this today. Was down to this or the Hobart Handler 140.
Hobart has a great warranty and the Eastwood, while built in China also has a pretty good one.
Code in the video was good and brought the price of the welder down to $199 with a sale that expires today. Figure I can always sell this for about what I paid for it but thought I would get this out there to anyone who has contemplated a welder purchase. Think the code was dis00110 but verify it.
My first bit of advise is to get a bunch of metal of varying thickness and practice practice practice. Buy the Argon bottle.
Did I mention practice? I have a 220v Lincoln MIG, use it ALOT on my tractor an implements, great tool. Easy to weld thick stuff,
thin stuff requires........practice.

Pre purchase inspection (PPI) is the first line of defense, also perhaps contact someone via this site local to that area to verify that the car (seems) is as what's advertised for the $$ your paying....A rhetorical question: are you spending 3K or 30K? The answer would be key to maybe taking a plane ride to make sure you're getting what you (think) you're paying for....My .02

I suggest buyers be careful and check the headliners carefully before installing.
And you need to check that the seams do not separate easily by pulling on them?

Nicely done, Blake. I installed Esty's carpet in my tii in 2013 and it took me a month..thought it would take me a week tops (yeah right)
but it made the interior night n day better. Of course, I bought new door cards, which meant the window roll up mechanisms were dealt with and lubed,
new weatherstripping below the door, et cetera, project took a life of its own, but the end result was worth it.
Your seats look identical to mine except for the color - Recaros from a 320i.

And.....you pretty much <for the most part> always get what you pay for......
yup.

Have one in my 73 tii, works fine as long as it's driven regularly. If I go a month plus without driving her it'll need a charge for a few minutes, which the red tops don't really like (on a regular basis).

I replaced mine in the late nineties, don't remember it being overly difficult.

Heard about that. Major tragedy, very sad.

Saw the pilot flying his drone and was impressed at the control he had.
Very kewl.

Yeah, speaking of the old VW days, both vent widows opened slightly will create a draft that will flow across the windshield and help keep it clear.

Nice car!
Bottom line: don't drive it there if not road worthy. Only YOU will know if it is or not.

GREAT TIME had at Brisbane today! Saw a lot of great cars, talked to a lot of people that I hadn't seen in along time, and met some in person that I have seen (posting) here on this site. Weather was great, got handed a cupla mimosas, food truck was good, left feeling all warm n fuzzy...

Beautiful eulogy, thanks for sharing. So sorry for your loss.

Easiest way to replace to water pump is to remove the front grills and the radiator and fan - the water pump is staring you.
Easy procedure.
