    looks good, thats exactly what i am going for, thanks for the info mate. we sure are! , i think the stud pattern is the biggest stumbling block, there are less drastic ways around offset. i am under the impression that ADR rules apply to new cars, used cars only have to pass RWC. i have a real minimal look planned for her atm. even something that does not have any emblem on them at all.

    thanks for clearing that up, maybe i should rename the post "NK wheels alternatives." NK wheels are still hard to some by in Australia. anyone have any other ideas?

    Tisa wheels are rare and expensive. especially if you include shipping to Australia. i love the smooth look of these wheels (thanks BMWnKTM) surely there are similar wheels with the same stud pattern and offset and similar look, inc hubcap etc currently running superlites (FYI) size (inch) 14X6 26P stud pattern 4x100mm offset (mm) 26positive backspace (mm) 114 PCD 95-120 Load (kg) 620 XF (mm) 22 Weight (kg) 7.05

    holy shit. those fjord blue and golf yellow cars are so clean. isnt it great how such a simple mod such as deleting the lower trim line and using short bumpers really cleans up the car. fantastic!

    thanks for all your help but i ended up ditching the stock alternator and throwing on an 318i alternator. the lights have never been so bright!!

    previously my oil filter blew an O ring. (http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,374375/start,0/postdays,0/postorder,asc/highlight,/) turned out some enthusiastic cold driving (not me) and heavy oil caused it to blow. anyway. i took the alternator apart to clean it (because it wasn't working, and it was SOAKED in oil) and discovered the three diode wires were exposed. should i look for some insulation to cover those wires? or just replace the wires? they took look a bit stuffed with all that green corrosion. finally what grade of wires should i be using. Its a stock 40A alternator.

    hey FAQ people today my oil filter decided to spray oil everywhere in my engine bay... replaced the filter and oil, but now the ignition light fails to switch off after starting the engine. can oil damage the alternator or the voltage regulator? my tools are in storage atm but once i get them i plan to... -clean the three pin connector terminals -test the alternator with a multimeter -short the blue and black terminal on the three pin connector to see if its the alternator of the voltage regulator. (i just read this in the haynes manual... -anything else? Should i go as far as taking the alternator apart and cleaning inside? or is that a specialist job? thanks!

    Solex 32DIDTA Carburetor kit bought the wrong type. $52AUD it cost me! complete kit. new, never used. yours for $19 including postage! (to anywhere in australia) will post international, not sure if it could be worth your while

    The solex carb is getting tired, my mechanic wants to put a kit through the carbie. seeing as though i am a poor student and dont need my 02 as everyday transport, i think i should have a go myself. so my question is. how difficult is this job for a relative beginner? thanks guys
