Site formatting for iPad

Recommended Posts

I got an iPad earlier this week and this site doesn't look very good on it.

The width of the device screen isn't properly detected so nothing wraps. The default view has very tiny text and if you zoom in you have to keep scrolling back and forth to read posts.

Image attached so you can see what I'm talking about.

If I can help with testing, let me know.

Thanks!

Matthew

I just bought one of those for my wife..giving it to her this weekend. Made me cringe to buy it - not an Apple fan other than I do get a kick of their funny but totally untrue commercials.

I played around with an ipad in the apple store surrounded by geniuses and thought the device was pretty pointless. I really hope she likes it - I know my older son would love to have one - he uses his ipod touch non stop. I just don't get - I think I will use my netbook. I think you will have to wait until the 2002faq app comes out - which will of course have to be developed only on an apple computer using apple software.

Had MS or IBM developed the app store/ipod/iphone/ipad technology would the PC folks be so trite? I think not.. but you're right, I would rather shop with these cats. They are obviously more put together. (wink)

-just playin' man.

The FAQ was reformatted for mobile devices last year sometime.. it is what it is at this point. How did it work out in landscape mode?

2002 newbie, and dead serious about it.

If microsoft would've developed the ipda and itunes app store it wouldn't work as well and on top of that they would get sued for violoation of anti-trust laws.

I admire apple as a company - I don't really understand how they get away with the things they get away with, but it's working for them.

After playing with the ipad I may have a whole other opinion - give me a few weeks.
