Early bumpers on later big bumper car

Do the mounts line up? Is this a straight bolt on?

Do a search, there are several threads on here. Also in the '02 FAQ section.

Basically, there are a few bumper combo's and no they do not just bolt up.

You have the original holes to change / fill in the rear and front. The early 71 bumper with short ends, 73 longer bumper ends, and euro centers. The 73 bracket in the rear is tighter to the body than the 71 bracket. or vis versa.

good question. i tried several search variations and went through all the faq's and couldn't find anything about it. i have seen several squaries with early/euro bumpers and was also wondering how hard the switch would be.

In Forum Search, in the field type in:

bumper AND conversion

Don't play with any of the filters, just do the search like that and you will find all of the information you need. You may need to dig through a bit like I did, but within 1 hour I had all the information I needed to do the conversion three different ways.
