I would also like, pedal box cable thinggy, air box mount, pulse wheel set if you have them.

Engine mounts - Expected on Wednesday or Thursday

Trigger wheel set - I have plenty

Airbox mount - ???? DCOE-to-S14 ITB adapters?

Pedal box cable thingy - Currently working on one device.

Also, expect a Motorsport lower oil pan for S14 with 1.5 extra quart of oil and fully baffled. It will possibly have optional cooling fins underneath.

Hi Lee,

Im interested in the engine mounts to move the s14 back towards the firewall. My only concern is:

1. I have a RHD car so will the mounts be suitable?

2. I'm using the Getrag 265 dogleg gearbox which may have clearance issues with steering tie rod

3. would I need to shorten the propshaft. I'm currently using the front half of a E30 M3 propshaft fit to the rear half of my original 2002tii shaft that bolts onto the diff.

4. I'm assuming the diff can be moved back to which would avoid shortening the propshaft?

please advise

Thanks

Yes

No experience with this transmission.

If engine moves back by any distance, then the DS must be shortened by the same amount.

4. I'm assuming the diff can be moved back to which would avoid shortening the propshaft?

The diff can only be moved by a few millimeters.

I was confirmed today that I should get the engine mounts on Friday. Better be Friday morning as I have to install the engine mounts (and weld them too), and then do the tranny mounts at the same time, on Friday, before storing the car on Saturday. Arghhh. Will post pictures.

Here are the parts. Laser cut and CNC folded stainless steel. Pictures show the different configuraton possibles. On the passenger side, there are two slotted positions. If you want another, just grind the tabs off and locate the plate where ever you want. The engine can be raised by 3mm depending on if the side plates are located under or above the plate.

On the driver side, the main adapter can be used with your own original bracket. Small holes have been cut, and you must enlarge the ones you need. You can also use the supplied bracket which can be welded in any deisred position. Therefore this kit is like Koni's multi-adjustable shocks. It is not one-position-fits-all. It's up to you to tailor your own mounts. So, welding will be required.

Moving back the engine allows for a more comfortable clearance between the radiator and the engine. It also improves weight distribution as the engine AND the tranny are moved back. Less weight in front of the axle too. No need to buy a CF hood to lighten the front end. I could even put a fan with viscious clutch.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
