What is a good selling price for my 76 Bmw 2002?

My father is the original owner of this California rust free 76 BMW 2002. The car has new paint, excellent original interior, 70,000 miles on a rebuilt motor with a 32/36 Weber carb. The car has always been garaged, no cracks at all on dash, very clean. What would be a good asking price for this car? Not really in the rush to sell, but just curious, who better to ask than the 2002 experts that own them. Any advice would be great. Thanks

with no photos, and your brief description - blind = $4,000

but with detailed photos,

and detailed enventory of what's new, used, original-

with the brakes, steering, suspension, trans, electrical,

trim, wheels/tires, seats, modifications - your 'selling'

price will be higher or lower.

Check out present and back issues of BIMMER magazine

for price guides. They have published many up dated

articles - current issue contains what your seeking.

" What is a good selling price for my 76 Bmw 2002? " depends on your need

to sell, how quickly, your location, how you

advertise, and what YOU feel comfortible selling it for.

Maybe you feel the car doesn't owe you anyting, and

your well healed, not in need of money and just

want it gone = low, fast price.

Or you need max money to pay bills, your need to recoup

excessive money spent on the car? then you'll be meeting

and dealing with a lot of tire kickers(punters) and few real buyers.

You set the price to start.

depends, 76 is not a good year for Californians. The condition and originality is important. I saw one 76 (the owner lived in Palo Alto) 4-5 years ago, that look brand new, it was not even restored. I would have personally paid more than $10k for it on the spot! Not the same car, is it? To appraise the car you will need to compare it to what is selling now. Most of us are not in the market (since we already have one) and most of us like to buy them cheap and build them. It is not easy with the 2002's, so many variables, including color!
