seatbelts

I have the original seatbelts in my 71'. the ones that latch to the metal hoop in between the two front seats. anyone have suggestions for replacements?

You can get some universal ones designed for hot rods, etc. I have got the ones with aircraft buckles

I have a complete set of retractable but in my 1969 1600 I had no hole to mount all the parts.

Search on eBay Motors with "bmw 2002". There's always a listing or two for some $79 ones. I bought them about six months ago. They work well, look like OEM, and install easily in the original bolt holes. Only minor drawback is the receiver is a little shorter than stock, but you get used to it.
