seat rails

IIRC...

Early cars have the fore-aft adjustment handle integral to the rail coming out under the seat to the front of the car, where later cars have the handle separate and going through a slot in the sheet metal seat tower on the outboard side of the seats.

Early cars have the front mounting bolts going fore-aft (parallel to the floorboard) through a 90° tab, rears go straight down through the rail. Later cars have all 4 bolts going straight down.

The year division between early and late is, I believe, late 71 or 72, but I'm not too sure on this aspect.

All seat rails are on the same spacing, and can be moved from early to late seats. early rails will work on a late car, but late rails will not work on early cars without some serious work to incorporate the "non-integrated" handles.
