How do the rear windows attach to the body of the car?

remove the rear mount from the c pillar

the leading edge of the seal doubles back upon itself and is pinched under the welt that seems to hold the vinyl down

remove the pinch welt pull the seal towards the window (old ones are brittle be careful) and the mounting screws are horizontally pointed towards the front of the car.

With a long phillips screw driver from the outside of the car (to keep from having the window fall onto the ground) remove them and then pull the window towards the rear of the car.

Unless you've had somebody remove the windows before and they were too lazy to put them all back in, I think you should have four of them. Don't lose them, they're a funky size.

Make it different... or just do it differently

if you want to remove the channel and seal, remove the cotter pins that go through the channel and seal

Pictured as #5 is the channel that is screwed to the body. I guess they call it a hinge. Not what I'd call a hinge, but it funtions as one--The four screws are hidden behind the seal as I posted earlier.
