Insurance value database

Has anyone here had trouble getting their Ins. Co. to pay what your car was worth? You are not alone.

As collector cars values are often hard for Ins. Co. to gauge accurately, it would be nice to get help from the board members.

If a database (thread or Sold section) could be available for those having trouble convincing their Ins. Co. of the true value of these cars.

02 owners that have sold their 2002s could make themselves available for all us other 2002 owners whenever we meet resistance from our Ins Co. to properly reimburse us. No sales prices have to be posted publically on the site, just the contact info of those willing to help others out with Ins. co. value resolutions based on: condition, modifications...etc.

After hearing E24 & E28 owners complain about low-ball Ins. Co. payouts, and knowing that many Ins. Co. will work with classic car owners when values are tough to validate, it would be a great way for us to tap into the sellers and get information that may sway our Ins. Co. to properly reimburse the owners. Ins. Co. need sales prices from several sources before they cave-in and pay-out!

Any other thoughts on this?
