Thrifter Stiffer Shifter

been tossing this idea around in my head for a while now, so took advantage of the tranny being out and it works! the shifter was feeling like a cooked noodle, so i found two washers whose IDs were just large enough to fit around the inner shifter-support-bushing sleeve and was thick enough to isolate the shifter support. one washer per bushing, inserted between the plate and the bushing. tightened it down and viola! nice, crisp shifts and sweet M20 vibrations

nothing ghetto about that. Lots of bushings have support washers etc

If it works and holds up, it's great, not ghetto.
