  8. When u guys fabricated your rear braces did u measure the distance between the towers with the car on the ground or in the air?
  9. well i got the car for 500 and it needed alot of love. (new diff, tune up, seals, hugh sway bars and the usual upgrades) Ive only had the car for about 2 months now (yes im friggin hooked) it burns oil pretty excessively (leaks it still too) about 1 quart a week of commuting about 80 mi a day (curvy costal roads) the compresion is good and even on all but #2, its about 15 psi short. im thinking rings because the only time i see smoke is when i engage the clutch and accelerate theres a nice puff. ps its the car on the left in the pic
  10. ahh the bore is tapered not to mention all the other stuff! i have built motors before, not BMW give me a good old 350 and im great Well it was worth a thought and i hear u can do it to hondas with relative ease and i told u it was a stupid question.
  11. Ok im wondering if anyone has or has tried to drop the pistons out throught the oil pan and past the crank to do a ring job? 76 m10 I doubt it but hey there are no stupid question but lots of inquisitive morons.
  12. Just a silly idea. Why dont we have a worst car in show event up here for the Palo Alto shin dig on saturday. the only requirement is that the vehicle can move under its own power.
  13. i would love to see more pics of how u did this.
  14. i Just stuck a 320 rad in my 76. I ran it a couple of times to work and had the same issues. (praying for movement). i burped the system and it now stays below or at 3 o clock. If your temp sensor is on top of the coolant housing on the motor (like mine is) Run the car up to temp and just break it open enuf to get coolant flowing out of it this will relieve the air pocket. Dont forget to close it after.
