Ebay brake rotors

Anyone tried those $100 a set rotors and pads off ebay? Seems awful cheap, and they're not Balo's, so I'm a little suspect. Thanks,

-Ben

Here's another set, Brembo's, sans pads for even cheaper.

They arent vented at all. Why not just upgrade to E21 rotors with Girling calipers?

Well, I'm trying to pinch my pennies, otherwise I would do the upgrade. My car's not that fast right now anyways. I was told by the local bimmer shop that rotors were $138.00 each--Balo. Then he said he could get them for around $90.00 each (I guess that's my "discount" price since I've known these guys for so long). That's not too bad, but I'm curious about these other brands I see on ebay.

I have not tried the ebay ones. However I have looked at getting sloted rotors to improve my braking power. Here are a few place to compare brake rotor prices:

and Bavarian Autosport. They have front vented rotors at 27 each. Also click on their Performance Brakes tab for some other options.

I've been looking at the brake combo kits also.

I found a set that I will probably get at autopartswarehouse.com

The combination includes 2 balo rotors and a TRW(OEM) brake pad set.

2 x 22.95 (Balo Rotors) solid rotors

1 x 31.95 (TRW brake pad set)

TOTAL = $ 77.85 (free ground shipping for orders over $50)

I think that's a pretty good buy. Just thought I would share if you didn't already know about it. BTW, anybody know anything of the TRW brake pads (from the stock photo they look pretty darn good)
