cold start problem also!

I have this feeling that my cold start valve might be going bad. It takes me over a minute to get the car fired up. It takes a little shorter time if the cars been left off for a couple hours, but still takes too many cranks to start.

Follow the diagnostic procedures in the Repair Manual. You will know soon enough if it's working correctly.

Another thing that can cause long cold start cranking times is a malfunctioning ballast resistor bypass relay. It can be as simple as a wire falling off. If the resistor doesn't get shorted during cranking, the spark voltage will be low.
