Confirmation of problem: Tii/Turbo electric fuel pump

The hose from the pickup unit looks like the original (yep), the tank is new & pick up unit which I have double-checked. Fuel tank is ful of course. It certainly sounds like the pump as it seems you don't need to prime it. Yes it has power & makes the usual noise. Will report back Monday - Thanks everyone. Rich.

Removed the pump & basically wired it in in the boot, hose stuck straight in the fuel tank & buzzing away but nothing. Yes I had the wires the right way round. So replacement is now on route. Had lots of trouble sourcing 12mm fuel hose mind.

Should be all running by this weekend. Phew.

if you didnt replace the pump, there was probably still gas in it - the pump will stay full unless you run it dry

Actually the pump was dry when I installed it.... it was not new, but a rebuild with very few hours on it.
