What type of Bilsteins are these?

Hi,

Does anyone know this Bilstein front strut insert part number 239 0023H02. They are date coded at 9/82. Are they HD or Sport or something else?

Any ideas?

0023 are HD and 0025 are sport.

It should take around 200 lbs. to compress them once they are out of the tubes. If it only takes 70 or 80 lbs. they are shot.

I used the rag on the bathroom scale method to check mine.

Thank you JB. Guess I got two worn out Bilstein HDs. Gut feeling is that <100 lbs will compress them fully. I have heard people say that Bilstein will take them back and redo them. Anyone have any experience with this?
