had a little time, access to a lathe and some spare 1/16" 5052 Al, and some other thin gauge stuff... so what do I do?

Center console of course!

I had to scrap the idea of a carbon one since my budget is zero now, and my male plug would have taken another chunk of time to make, so instead- I turned down some stock to make some offset gauge surrounds, and welded them onto some Al with a light sanding for the brushed look. For the sides, a simple piece beaded for stiffness, and a face plate for any fuel pump/fan switches and access to my new fuse block, as well as interfacing with the EFI/data logger.

its oakie- but it works!
