Where to buy rear upper shock mounts?

Is it possible to buy just the upper rubber mounts for the rear shocks? I have the current ones in there but there seems to be a lot of flex, ie not very stiff. I have some Bilstein HD that I want to put on, one of them has the a rubber piece on the upper portion, one doesn't.

will it work with the Bilstein HD, and if so, what is the rubber piece on the upper part of the Bilstein for. Maybe I need to just take a picture to show what I have.

the rear shock upper rubber bushing is not supplied with

shocks - it's a special rubber part from BMW

part number 33.52.1.111.118 $ 27.00 each - will last you another 30 years

1 each per side. Buy from any BMW dealer

Try taking it down to a suspension shop. I have the same problem and thats what I plan todo as I just dont have the $50 to spare for original BMW mounts at the moment. If cheapers ones last only 10 years ill be happy..

the special bushing is pressed through the shock tower

hole leaving a rubber guide/insulator in the hole so the shock rod does not contact the metal hole - and, with the right amount of rubber on the top and bottom side of the tower metal for compression when you tighten the shock rod nut. If you use the 'common' round shock rubbers - your missing the hole insulation. The shock willwork loose, rattle, damage the tower hole, .......................

So is the BMW rubber mount the same as this one in the picture.

If that is the case, maybe the ones on my 02 currently will work.
