Sunroof help - interior headliner panel interference.

Well, I finally got around to putting the sunroof panel back in my car, and adjusting it correctly. I am having a hard time getting the interior panel all the way back on. There does not seem to be enough room between the front sliders and the bottom of the tracks to get the panel through. Is there a trick to this?

So the headliner is in place so it slides back fully but will not reach the closed position? The roof must be fully closed for the head liner to move fully forward, then open the roof slightly to align the front liner clips to the roof holes. Or am I still not understanding the problem?
