I've got a 1970 Sunroof car I'm bringing back to life. I intend to

refresh the entire suspension/steering etc..... Have already bought

poly bushings all around.

I actually, don't like the look of a substantially lowered car. Additionally, I have a fiberglass front air dam that I don't want ploughing into the ground.

The car came with big 22mm front/rear sway bars. I'm not sure they are adjustable. I don't think they are, but I'm currently about 50 miles away from the car. So, I can't check.

I'm thinking I'm going to go with 1" lowering Eibach's and I'm torn between Bilstein HD's and Sports. I'm leaning Sports. Are there any 0.5" lowering springs or stock height springs anyone would recommend?

Any impression about Eibach's? Are these progressive or linear springs?

Before I pull the trigger at Shox.com, I'd love any/all opinions. The car will be used only for street driving and this will be of limited spiritedness. That is, I don't drive exceptionally fast or hard.

Thanks,

Jerry

...if your car will not be driven on a track or sporting event-

do not install Billystein SPORT shocks - H.D.'s are super for

'normal' street use and agressive driving.

If you fit sport shocks - be prepared to install super supportive

sport seats to hold you during cornering! Stock seats and SPORT

suspension settings and STOCK seats do not make for a good ride.

...just my $20.02 wurth

have fun and WORK SAFE.

I had the same delima, did not want to go too low. The ST springs lowered my '70 about .5-.75 inch. With the HDs and Yokohama ES100s on 14" e30 bottlecaps, it looks good and handles great while still offering a decent ride

Hey Jerry. I've got some used ST front springs if you want them. They're in excellent shape. Yours for $35 plus shipping. Email me at trichardson@clifbar.com if you want them.
