Price: $100
Location: Aptos

Description:

Well, I’ve got myself in a pickle… I just finished the front suspension, steering, brake upgrade and have found that my 13” e21 alloys won’t fit over the new Volvo calipers. I kind of saw it coming but I did it to myself anyway. Is anyone holding a set of 14-15”wheels that they’d like to trade or sell on the cheap? I also have a set of 15x8 Rota OS mesh wheels that I can’t use as I don’t have flairs on the new car. I’ll include pics of both… better pics upon interest. I’m desperate to get this car on the ground so let me know what you’ve got.  I’m in Aptos 95003. Thanks

The site won't let me send you a PM, but I've got this set of MSW 15x6 et33 wheels in south San Jose.  Call or text me at (510) 856-6905 to discuss further.  I'd love to be able to help you out.

Interestingly, you are the first person I met at a Los Gatos Neue Klasse & Kaffee meet when I brought my 7-year old son!  I had just taken my front subframe apart, so we came without our (then new to us) 2002.

Hey there, Still looking for a set of wheels? What offset are the Rotas? I just turbo flared my car and could potentially be interested. Ive got a set of e21 offset 13" mesh style wheels with CN36 tires that may fit. I just ordered the volvo BBK from IE so we'll see very soon if they do. But I might go with a bigger and wider wheel to fill out the flares.

Due to the lack of availability of good 13” tires I’m trying to stay away. Even if they fit. Those are some cool looking wheels though.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
