No criticism meant.

None taken at all. At the time it seemed like Lucas would be the best and fastest choice. Didn't work out that way. If I had a pump in USA, I wouldn't ship it to Europe unless it was really something pretty exotic.

I did think it was interesting how all these guys had different, and sometimes contradicting, information about what Alpina did with these pumps. I won't say who but one of them said that a street KF pump won't work with a bigger than stock cam-- which is obviously not true bc Alpina used them with the 300 degree cam.

My first tii, 2763503, I acquired an A4 system out of Germany in 1987 (older than dirt I am), a had a BMW sport 300 large bearing cam installed in my e-12 head (9.5cr pistons).  B-1 pump.  Ran like stink.  Off throttle it would occassionally kind of gurgle/pop a bit but nothing serious.  Probably ran a little lean.  Smooth, tractable power.  Fun.

Poppycock, you don't need a 129.10 pump to run that system.  Lots of 'experts' out there (that aren't experts).

Hi,

We also works with Mike Lucas for a Kugelfischer system in 2022. His work was fabulous.

I'm very worried about his health ... The last time I was able to contact him by phone was 11 september 2023.

He told me he was sick but trying continuing to work part time ... But since this time, it is impossible to get any response from him.

I hope he is still alive and can heal ...

I'm trying my luck here to see if anyone could help me to find a guillotine assembly for a Kugelfischer system

Thanks

Philippe from GRC SPORT company in Belgium

I hope all you folks that have your gear with him are able to retrieve it.  It honestly sounds like a bad situation, hopefully he gets well (if that is what is happening), BUT in the mean time I would be looking at getting my stuff back with whatever means necessary.

Saxon Parts makes a 43mm slide as well as a repro Alpina 46mm slide (no Alpina logo, but looks exactly like the ones they used to make).  You can get that one with or without trumpets - the trumpets they offer allow for DLO-20 injectors (tii).  It is a pretty good option really.  They also do pump work there as well.  No personal experience with them so I can't vouch for their cred.
