HELP ON DASH

has anyone removed the white lettering on the dash over the switches flanking the instrument console? I hate to try and ruin my dash if someone has found a way. thanks for help with this and am i the only one who does not like this look?

In the interest of making one of my cars full Euro in appearance (vs USA which had the printing) I gently and VERY carefully used acetone to wipe off the white printing. It WILL soften and smooth out the vinyl grain texture if you're not super careful, but I had success. Test it on a spare dash or unseen portion first so you can see how quickly / aggressively it affects things beforehand!

thanks. i will try that. as slick a design as the 02 is the lettering in my mind is tacky. i plan on using the decal set sold here on the swirch face, much cleaner i think.

I would not try Acetone, unless you’ve tried it successfully before, especially if it’s a good condition crack-free dash. Acetone is extremely aggressive against vinyl

Maybe start with propanol first, or gentler solvent
