Pop out window handle removal?

The pop out window handle has 2 phillips screws to the c pillar, and one regular screwdriver screw at the glass. How do you remove the one on the glass? As I turn it the outside cover turns also. I dont want to break anything so wasn't going to try to see if it was just a cap.

That chrome round end on the outside  IS the nut.

 

Inside it’s an M5 Fillister with an B5 spring washer.

See the squared-off rear of the chrome nut in the pic above? It mates into a squared indent in the hinge - so it shouldn’t rotate.

 

Try squeezing the hinge and glass together when you loosen the Fillister, so the nut stays in the square in the hinge.
