Hey guys,

I'm in the market for a mild project and found this one just south of Portland.  I live in the Berkeley California area and was wondering if there was anyone on the FAQ that could check this one out for me before I drive 12 hours north with a trailer.  I'm intrigued by some of the subtle hints that this thing has some performance mods on it that I would normally do as well.  Thanks in advance!

I guess I'm thinking that I can get a better deal if I'm willing to travel a long distance to get said deal.

Huh...?   Because every would-be '02 buyer lives further from Portland than you?

Travel for the right car, not just to travel!  I bought my '73 out of Southern California because I wanted a "least rusty" project.

Good luck,

Steve

Sorry about that Conserv, what I meant to say was that my thinking was that I might be able to find a better deal outside of the bay area and I'm willing to travel to get the right deal.  But you're right, I need to travel for the right car.  Patience is a virtue that I have not been blessed with.

Understood.

In old cars, always look for the least rusty example you can possibly afford!

Good luck and regards,
