I purchased one from BLUNT for my 69.  Have you checked with Steve on availability?  Also check Walloth Nesch in Germany.

Yes I did check.  BLUNT answered "Unfortunately BMW is coming back saying that part is no longer available and it's not looking like we can get it through any of our distributors.", and I couldn't find it in Walloth Nesch's catalog.
