Do you know what year car did the transmission come out of?

I don't have any idea. I was hoping there was a way to look up using the number stamped on it...would that be the VIN? There used to be someone you could email to get information like year, color, what port the car came into with the VIN number...I'd have to go back and look and see if I could find who that was. Are you interested?

I honestly dont know much about them other than those on cars after '71 are superior to those from prior years (based on what I've read here). That info might help you sell it. 

 

I may be interested down the line but need to figure out what's wrong with mine first, and I always underestimate how long this stuff takes for me to figure out :/
