Oil Pressure Sender ??

Hi guys,

Bought a new oil pressure sender a while back for my '76 2002 from 2002AD. Put it in, an it fits, but won't "snug down". So, there is a very fine bit of oil that seeps from around it.

Are there 2 different oil pressure senders? Did I miss something? Why does it not tighten? Have I ruined something? I didn't have to force it to go in, so it seems like the threads should be right.

did you use a copper sealing washer?? That could be the problem...

I have a spare dist / oil sender housing that you can have if

I ordered a couple a few months ago from Bimmer Parts Company, one for my '69 2000 and the other to have as a spare for my '74 2002, they include the crush washer., you should be able to get one at a hardware store though., bring your sender with you so they can size it up.
