Scraping noise was differential, not brakes

I had been trying to pinpoint a scraping sound from the right rear. The CV joints looked like they needed to be replaced and when it came apart a tooth was out of the third member. I will look at a 1971 parts car to get the differential and axle and swap them out.

This was frustrating as the engine was rebuilt and I haven't been able to break it it because of this.
