Would anyone know the best way to trace the history of my car from original sale? The car was stolen(damn!) from the previous owner and all vin tags were stolen, however it has the original engine and I have found the VIN on the block. Where do I go from here in terms of tracking the history and having that original vin reassigned to the car since a washington dc vin tag was assigned back when the car was found. Any help would be appreciated.

I have "collected" some vin numbers that have

appeared in the FS section of Roundels since day

one, it may be there...

Not familiar with the law in your state
