Go to a fabric store (wear a disguise if you don't want your guy friends to see you going into JoAnn's Fabrics) and ask for black bias tape. Try to get a synthetic fabric if you can--it lasts longer than cotton. It comes in several widths and is cut "on the bias" so it's stretchy. It makes a good wrapping tape for wiring harnesses as a result. Cheap, too, and doesn't have any adhesive on it. If you want to know what it's really used for, ask your wife/significant other. I don't know (and wouldn't admit to anyway :-)

Cheers

Mike

Unless of course, you are into that sort of thing.

Yes Mike, you do get some looks as a male walking into a fabric store(where else you gonna find vinyl?). Do we do that to women as they walk into a hardware store?

The friction tape can also be got thru McMaster-Carr.
